I built a good habit, but it led to a huge loss.

Building good habits might be dangerous if not done properly —
I learned this from personal experience.
Last year, I thought “To keep my body healthy and fit, I should adopt healthy habits.”
As I started reading about health and wellness, I learned two key things:
While I could do workouts at home, I couldn’t maintain a proper diet due to my financial situation.
So I decided to focus on just one aspect: avoiding junk food and eating homemade meals instead.
I committed to building a morning workout routine.
After downloading a fitness app from the Play Store, I started exercising consistently.
I maintained this habit for three months.
However, this decision ended up worsening my health.
I experienced severe weight loss and developed nutrient deficiencies.
I felt constantly tired and sleepy throughout the day, among other health issues.
All of this happened because I ignored the importance of maintaining a balanced diet alongside my workout routine.
This experience taught me two things:
Lesson 1: The Danger of One-Sided Progress
Many times, we get influenced by the internet and make bad decisions.
I’m obsessed with Self-improvement.
I watched others with good bodies, got influenced by them, and started working out.
I wanted that fit and lean body, so I thought I could achieve it with home workouts and homemade food.
At that time, I didn’t have the maturity to understand the importance of a good diet in fitness.
My single-minded focus on exercise taught me a painful lesson about balance.
Like a three-legged stool, health requires multiple supporting elements — exercise, nutrition, and rest.

By focusing solely on workouts while ignoring my body’s nutritional needs, I actually harmed my health instead of improving it.
This experience showed me that true progress comes from maintaining balance across all essential aspects of any goal we pursue.
If we want improvement in our lives, we need to focus on every aspect without ignoring anything.
Lesson 2: Master Your Life’s Hierarchy of Needs
At that time, I was seeking a healthy and lean body.
So what should I have done?
Before diving into intensive workouts, I should have recognized that building a stable income was my fundamental priority.
Just as a house needs a strong foundation before decorative elements, our life improvements need to follow a logical order.
Financial stability would have enabled me to support a proper diet, making my fitness journey both sustainable and healthy.
This taught me that while all goals might be important, some need to come first to support the success of others.
I should have focused on building a better source of income so that I could afford a balanced diet for my goal of achieving a healthy and lean body.
Conclusion
It’s always about prioritizing what’s important in life.
If I get influenced by someone on social media and start following them without understanding my own situation, it might be dangerous.
So I learned:
Don’t get influenced; instead, get inspired.
This means that if I see someone with a good body, instead of blindly copying them,
I should adopt their mindset of taking care of their health and keeping their body in good shape.
And I should never ignore the other aspects of my goals.
I hope you adopt these lessons in your life as well.
Have a good day. Bye.
