I Believe We Know Better... Now Let's Do Better

This article started as a way to share a powerful video in a time of need. The more I thought about it, the more I realized we all have to take responsibility for stepping up and realizing our world is different.

I can't say I grew up in fear of authority. My parents didn't have to explain how I should behave with authorities because it could cost me my life.

I'm over sixty. I immigrated from Scotland, as a child. I was brought up in a poor section of Toronto, where the only kids of different ethnicity were from Italy.

We were insular, there were a number of Scottish families, and we tended to keep with our 'own'.

Things are vastly different now. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live without fear, without judgments and bias.

This video I am sharing is a testament to a better way... We need to work on our human skills and embrace humanity as one.

In 2013 in Dallas TX I met and became a fan of the original spoken word Poet, Sekou Andrews. OH WOW

he gave the @eWomennetwork the use of his Awesome Anthem and I was blessed he said yes to an interview on @BBPTVShow.

He is an incredible human, a magician with words, his videos move and humble me. Sekou Andrews is raw and real. And today he has put out a powerful video that TROOL-Y needs to be seen heard and shared...

It's time for humanity to go forward as one.. PLEASE...

This is a powerful assault on your senses.. and rightly so...

LOVE SAYS... Sekou Andrews ...

https://youtu.be/-NRYsNz4WSU

A video by Sekou Andrews & The String Theory. Dedicated to those fighting for freedom, for justice, for love.

Our cities are burning. Our hearts are broken. The knee of racism is once again crushing the windpipe of black America. I’ve had enough of hearing what Hate says. Will you join me in sharing with the world what “Love Says”?

"Love Says” is the third single and video from the GRAMMY? nominated debut album by American spoken word poet, Sekou Andrews, and European/American neo-classical orchestra, The String Theory.

This poem is for the fighters. The ones who are fighting for love. The ones who are running toward the fight to stop it.

If this video moves you, please don’t keep its message to yourself. SHARE with your community ... with your following ... with your loved ones … with anyone who could use a message of hope and a reminder of what we’re fighting for.
