I BEAT 7 Time World Champion - SIR LEWIS HAMILTON. This is my STORY on HOW I managed this.?I am a RACER. A RACE car DRIVER. I am good at it.?

Racing is an expensive sport. It’s a SPORT where you burn cash just like you burn fuel.?There is a SKILL element in RACING, which you need to keep honing to stay sharp.?High degree of AWARENESS, Excellent decision making under pressure.?Keeping calm under pressure is a baseline requirement.?

There are moving parts that are constantly changing, you got to be AWARE and ADAPT.?PLAN but be ready to adapt when the PLAN changes.?You get to learn a lot from competition. You get better as you closely observe the very best.?Competition is an amazing guideline, it tells you where you are and shows you the way to get better.?

Highly successful RACERs are highly SELF motivated, SELF disciplined & more importantly SELF driven (pun intended).?

SPOTLIGHT is on YOU, however know this. RACING is a TEAM sport. You are the COG, but you do not exist without your TEAM.?It’s a beautiful paradox, You got to keep the focus on YOU while you train and HONE your skill.?

On track, you are YOUR team. It’s a PARADOX of YOU and being one with the TEAM.?The complexity, paradox, chaos and TEAM sport that RACING provides can also be found in PRODUCT LEADERSHIP.?#racing #productleadership

It’s one of the reasons why RACING is SO CLOSE to my HEART.?

Fast forward to COVID-19 times,

As COVID-19 was lurking around in the corner, I saw this video where SIR LEWIS HAMILTON, 7 TIME WORLD CHAMPION threw an OPEN challenge to beat him at this game. The video was intriguing and my 11yrold and 8yrOld were very interested.?

The very next day, I was at a CROMA store buying a PS4 pro and a Logitech G29 steering wheel.?Almost like a miracle, next week was full of curbs and restrictions for my boys to go down and play.?The only option was to stay safe and be at HOME.?

SERVANT LEADERSHIP - My BOYS

When I held my Elder one for the first time, I knew I am holding my ancestor. It’s a feeling or should I say more of knowing that I feel right from my bones. With the second one, it was no different. I was more than grateful that I have TWO ancestors who have chosen to be with me. My one and only goal with my boys is to be in SERVICE to them.?

My sons are my ANCESTORS! A gripping awareness

This is not how a TYPICAL dad talks, I remember mine to be different. I rather not go there. :-). I felt it was too early to immerse them into PRODUCT LEADERSHIP, They were however just right for an equally exciting world. RACING.?Through RACING, I wanted to show my boys on how you could HONE your skill, get better and get good at RACING through DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION & FOCUS.?

My wife surprisingly was SOLD on to the idea of SELF discipline and FOCUS. There was now nothing holding us back.?Getting brilliant at STAKEHOLDER management is very essential and in this case, it paid off very well.?

GT SPORT, was just the perfect partner to immerse my boys into the WORLD of RACING. They had done it before. LEWIS HAMILTON, MAX VERSTAPPEN, LANDO NORRIS, SEBASTIAN LOEB, FERNANDO ALONSO and some many racing greats swear by GT SPORT and how SIM RACING is great way to be a RACER.?

I gave guidance on how to RACE, racing lines, braking points, HOW to TURN IN? How to master TRAIL braking. I even went to RACING SCHOOL with my boys to SHOW them how it’s done. Just talking would not do. SHOW and TELL was the need of the HOUR. I thought I was doing this for my boys,?

HOWEVER, I noticed I was getting better, As I was more in service to my boys, I got better.?As I taught them the nuances of CAR CONTROL, my car control improved. The kicker is my boys TALKINGBOYRACER and YOUNGMAEZSTRO started giving me tips and TRICKs to get better and better. I got so good that I started winning races which drivers from different nationalities.?

11yrOld champion TalkingBoyRacer started winning races too,?

My 8yrOld Tiger was no slouch too, he stated winning races too,

6 months had passed. There was a feeling that we have become brilliant drivers.?There were some excellent results that indicated clearly that we have come very far as DRIVERs.?We now thought beating LEWIS HAMILTON should be EASY! We could have never been this wrong.?We were at least 3 seconds off LEWIS pace, a genuine sense of respect for LEWIS engulfed us.?

SETTING BIG GOALS, start with what is seemingly impossible.?

The goal is to be WORLD CHAMPION! To be the best in any sport or any discipline.?

You need to set yourself some BIG goals, these goals might seem impossible first but as you set your focus, keep your discipline and get better and better. You will start moving to your goals and only get better.?

One of the seeming impossible goals for US, including ME was to beat SIR LEWIS HAMILTON!?It is no easy task,?

• You got to get to know the TRACK
• You got to be very good with your breaking points and acceleration points?
• The car’s brake balance, TURN IN and balance must be spot on
• You got then TRY! TRY Harder, FAIL? TRY HARDER again.?
• Failure is never seen as a failure, it’s only seen as a learning tool!?

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP, Inspiring, motivating TEAM to achieve BiG GOALs

I learn from my BOYS but that does n’t mean I stop. I constantly keep pushing boundaries so that they keep getting better.?I work hard on SIM RACING with whatever available time I get to MOTIVATE and INSPIRE my boys.?

Sometimes that could be BEING part of the TOYOTA SUPRA INDIAN Championship and being part of the FINALs.

Doing the country proud. Or it could be TAKLINGBOYRACER and YOUNGMAEZSTRO get to be in the TOP 20 of the VW Championship.?

The boundaries are constantly pushed and at one POINT, One miraculous point, TALKINGBOYRACER beat’s 7 TIME World Champion - LEWIS HAMILTON, It was a sight to see, A DELIGHT for me as I see my son be the CHAMP that he is.

After beating LEWIS, the first line he said was,

DAD you got me here.?What about you? As a LEADER who loves to lead by example, I could not sit behind.?

In Closing, I am very grateful for my PRODUCT roots that enable me to constantly push myself further and further.?I am nothing but a #PRODUCT in the making, using my GROWTH mindset to push further and further.?I am very grateful to my racing prowess and it helps me stay focussed, disciplined and be unwavering.?

I am always after my BIG GOALS and BEATING the 7 TIME WORLD Champion was a SWEET accomplishment.?Thank you for being with me and reading through my LONG journey on beating SIR LEWIS! ;-)
