I applied but I got REJECTED without INTERVIEW

Recently , I observed , that I need to create a habit to inform the candidates about the state of their applications and also post interview feedbacks . Obviously, I do take this opportunity that from now on I will update the applicants for the positions they have applied for . The intention of this post is also which I feel is a responsibility to share to the applicants that why their resumes get rejected .
Rejection do happen step by step and what are they ?
1. Role , Function mismatch , and industry also a mismatch
2. Screening mismatch
3. Salary and experience mismatch in the initial screening process
Initial Screening in HR covers the following parameters:
1. Reading resumes means comparing the JD with the application
2. Screening can be a call away where the recruiter fixes up the similarity by talking to the candidate

3. Or the direct shortlisting can also be done by hiring manager ( not HR) to go ahead with the thorough technical work duties mentioned in the resume .
Rejection happens on the following grounds:
i) Experience Range ii) Salary offered iii) Location iv) Industry relevance v) Hierarchy
When all these areas are not focused , then the applications do generally get low weightage which results to rejection .For example in accounts if a company requires an executive then the range of experience will surely be (2-4 yrs) approximately . With various companies this would differ but an average range can be accepted . If a candidate with an experience of 5-10 years apply for the same , then surely its a rejection . Why ??
So applicants and applications are must but not on the cost of any jobs posted . A post of MIS is shown and at least 40% of the lot received are of sales people who somehow is trying their luck to go back office and leave field . There why it goes for a REJECTION .
So , look into any job post properly , try and understand , or else you can focus on the WHY part of applying in the email body , which would clarify the details of your application . #HAPPYSEEKING

2 年Very well good post but with due respect ma'am i would like to address that ma'am it is good for hearing only & please start this initiative from yourself as u mention that you would make a habit of informing the candidates, so ma'am We accept we are wrong at some places but it's the duty of HR to reply to mail or just provide a small feedback with reason. I'm commenting with personal experience as most of time I was the best fit according to the job post & experience and also applied for that but didn't hear back from ABIS Exports India Private Limited. IB Group & Sangita Sarkar ma'am, given 1 or 2 times interviews also but didn't hear back after that, not a single NO. So ma'am it's a pretty well post ?? but it is good for reading only & posting it online would not help but would give few fake likes but sticking to your words would change someone's life and would give blessings. Anyways no hate feelings for anyone It's just a lesson for me & everyone, so thankyou for that and would keep in mind your mentioned points although you are my mentor.
