I am VULNERABLE too!
"I am Vulnerable too!"
It takes a lot to say this, but it is important to admit vulnerability within a boundary.
I have been sharing my experiences as both a Mentee and a Mentor.
When I fell flat on the ground, though not literally, it was a terrible experience for me as I had never before faced such a situation in my life. I felt this way because I wasn't ready to share my thoughts or receive feedback, let alone be vulnerable.
Being in a cocoon felt more comfortable than stepping out of my comfort zone.
Stepping out to me meant exposing myself to others, and I couldn't fathom how to do this.
But how long could I keep up this facade?
One day, I had to face the situation as I didn't have the option to exit, escape, or pass it on. I would say it was the best step I took in my life to express my situation, and I was able to do so because of my Mentor. It started with a fight but later evolved into introspection.
I would describe it as a vulnerable situation in my life.
Reflecting upon my conversation with my Mentor, who stood there listening to me like a calm ocean while I spewed out my emotions like a volcano, I felt shaken up inside out.
However, the subsequent calmness helped me realize that I needed to confront my fears, which I had always avoided out of fear of losing in the battle and fear of facing people.
As I pen down my experiences here and share them with you, I realize that I was vulnerable within my boundaries and made a promise to take action, embrace the situation, and create an outcome!
Here's a podcast link that I recorded this morning, which I wish to share with you to listen to.
