Talking about popping and constipation is routine in Eastern cultures. It is awkward to talk about it in more civilized cultures.
"I am stuffed and dehydrated; I am not crazy." This feeling of being stuffed and thirsty affects the quality of life and progression of many CNS diseases and comorbidities in 10-30% of Americans of all ages. Most people often ignore the apparent signs of poor health- the circumference of the belly (visceral obesity), the color of urine (signal for dehydration), and the consistency of the stool (signal for gut issues).
The leading causes of discomfort in emptying the rectum are stress, insomnia, not drinking optimal water, not eating plant-based foods rich in gel water and fiber, subsidized constipating foods, and consumption of too many medications and supplements, as well as a sedentary lifestyle.?
Stress, dehydration, ultra-processed foods, dairy, sodas, alcohol, a lack of fiber (plant-based foods), plastic particles in the water, body, and gut, and little or no mobility in the torso region of the body promote constipation, dysbiosis, and visceral obesity and facilitate dysregulated chronic neuroinflammation, which is a persistent and uncontrolled inflammation in the body and brain, in 10-30% of senior Americans, including Dr. Chand (1973-1998).? This prevalence may be as high as >50-80% among the aging population (over 80).
Constipation can significantly accelerate the progression of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's, leading to brain shrinkage and loss of memories and independence.
Identifying the foods, drinks, and other lifestyle factors that cause constipation, mitigating risk factors, and understanding the connection between lifestyle choices and gut and brain health is crucial. It puts us in control and emphasizes our responsibility to manage our health and prevent the onset of gut-brain diseases, including MCI, AD, and other CNS diseases.?

Causes of Constipation:
Food addiction - Eating ultra-processed foods, dairy- cheese, lack of dietary fiber
Drinking sodas and milk, alcohol
Constipating medications (especially drugs that alter the function of the gut and brain) and supplements, especially when not drinking adequate water or not eating foods rich in gel water.
Lack of mobility (especially in the Torso and visceral organs)
Stress, visceral fat, and chronic constipation can impact enteric hormones (synthesis, secretion, or actions) in several ways, including cortisol GLP1 agonists and other hormones, and thus contribute further to the obesity epidemic.
Symptoms: CNS- Mood disorders, anxiety, brain fog, headache, memory, unpleasant behaviors and quality of life changes
