I am not a sex offender. Please help.

Again, this is NOT me. Even the briefest visual scan indicates that. I was not in England at the time of the offences. The reason I can not currently return to Canada is because I had never taken out Canadian citizenship and my time to return as a landed immigrant has expired. I have to go through the costly process of applying as a fresh immigrant. I AM NOT WANTED FOR SEX CRIMES IN CANADA! A DBS check will clearly prove I am not guilty of any crimes at all within England. But I cannot afford to pay money to keep ensuring I have a current DBS check available. If businesses require one, they can pay for it. If people want one because they are mentally ill-equipped to compare blatant facts with malicious gossip, they can go swing. I refuse to live the rest of my life in this state of being guilty until proven innocent.

FACT: I do not resemble the sex offender in any way, and his photos are easily found on the internet.

FACT: I was not in England at the time of the offences.

FACT: I am not a Canadian citizen. I can return to the country, but the cost of applying as an immigrant is too prohibitive. After my father passes away, there really is no need to return.

My circumstances are clearly and honestly detailed in "Rude Awakenings from Sleeping Rough." This is not a promotional gambit, but people need to read the damn book before passing judgement based on gossip and rumours maliciously spread. Stop gossiping. Stop doom-scrolling on the internet. Read a goddamn book. Any book. Educate yourselves in any way, shape or form.

I have spent months rebuilding. I spent four months sleeping outdoors and have been busting my ass since June to rebuild. And that has all been unravelled through maliciousness and gossip. In the space of a few hours, I have lost employment, shifts, and a speaking engagement because of this nonsense. I am now starting to get harassed by the local homeless community, of all people, for being a "f*cking nonce." I am now of no fixed address again, with no "right of abode" in Cornwall, and my government support is in serious jeopardy, affecting my immediate financial future. I am under very real threat of being without funds within three weeks. I am being repeatedly being threatened to the point of having to keep my phone turned off. And the police, as always, are ineffectual at best.

I am currently as safe as I can be, and making arrangements to leave Cornwall, largely because of the threat from the homeless community, who don't take kindly to peodophiles and "punish" them with violence, usually sexual. I know. Because I have the "lived experience" that people love talking about but pay no attention to when presented with it. This has happened before: multiple times in London, and in Warrington where this malicious gossip was spread and "Peado Pete" was scrawled on graffiti throughout the neighbourhood. I actually had to bite another man's penis to save myself from being "punished" for being a paedo by two members of the homeless community through sexual assault. My experiences in London are again clearly detailed in the book. And as the book also clearly demonstrates, the police actively do not pursue, or even properly record, most crimes committed by or against the homeless. If they did, the general public would be horrified by the real numbers. The police response everywhere I've been in England in one form or another has been to tell me, or threaten me in the case of London, to leave town. That only adds to the gossip and unwarranted suspicion.

I need the government to get involved. Tory, Labour: it doesn't matter. Because this keeps happening. And will continue to happen. It was their initial error that sparked this continued nightmare. I don't want --I need the government to publicly take accountability. and very publicly present information I can easily direct people to, to clearly state I have never been accused, convicted or investigated for any sex offences against children; or any crimes whatsoever.

I don't know how, but I need people to help me do that. They won't listen to one man. I somehow need people to help me get the government to take notice, and take, quite frankly, simple and public steps to put an end to this once and for all.
