I am riding for those who can't and I need your help
I’m riding in the 2016 BP MS150, a 150 mile two-day bike ride from Houston to Austin to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The National MS Society helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
Last year together with your help I raised $3,600 for the MS Society to fund research and support programs. When I first rode in 2015 I had no idea how much this disease impacted people I knew and loved. I’ve also made many new friends in the process and learned so much. This year I am riding for the many friends who are directly affected by this disease and the families who support them.
With your help I hope to raise more than $5,000 in 2016. I ask that you consider giving any amount as there is no amount too small! I have already given myself and will continue to give as we drive to the finish. Your tax-deductible contribution will help the National MS Society fund groundbreaking research and life-changing programs for people living with MS. And ultimately, end MS forever.
Thank you so much! Doug Reed
