I am proud to #BeF5 !!

I am proud to #BeF5 !!

What better time to pen down my humble and grateful feelings for Being an F5er than #BeF5 week. Even more special now as the company (or I should say 'Home Company') turns 25 !!

 I have been associated with the Tech Industry since Jan 2009 and have been quite fortunate to have worked with some of the best Fortune 500 companies; which helped me shape my professional experience in all ways possible. 

While some taught me the value of teamwork, others showed how customer obsession can be a key driver; but never had I got a chance to work with a company that said HUMAN FIRST - until I started my career journey with F5 as a consultant in Oct 2015. 

At F5 we don't just say HUMAN FIRST, we believe in it. It’s not merely a company keyword but a very strong EMOTION and a VALUE that tickles down all the way from the CEO of the company to each and every leader; down until the very last individual contributor. We exhibit this value in every conversation we do, every decision we make and every action that we take in our day to day life at work. 

Pandemic that had hit us all hard in 2020 was the time when every individual working at F5 personally experienced the 'HUMAN FIRST' approach. The empathy, care and compassion that F5 Leadership exhibited during this tuff time was beyond exceptional !! 

Our All hands did not start talking about numbers or $$, rather our CEO and CDIO asking how we all were doing and if there can be anything done to make us all feel more comfortable and safe during the tough time. 

When talking with my friends around here who are working for major tech giants in Seattle, I always felt a sense of pride while in conversation with some of them. When they expressed how they were being treated just as a set employees working hard to keep the number game on ; I always felt grateful that at F5 I was being treated and cared as a HUMAN dealing with crises. We worked together even better to keep the business up and running but every individual's health and well-being was always a bigger and topmost priority. 

I felt I had the shield of Empathy and Understanding which my fellow friends failed to get from their Employers and all this came from our very strong HUMAN FIRST approach. Not alone this, F5 strongly stood for EQUALITY, DIVERSITY, INCLUSION, MUTUAL RESPECT and everlasting sense of KINDNESS and COMPASSION for each other while we were waging war against social injustice at another end of the spectrum.

 Being a mother to a 3 month old, the unconditional support and understanding that I have received from my fellow colleagues and leadership during my pregnancy and post child birth; all while this COVID craziness and its after effects were impacting my return to work and even ability to continue to work, makes me raise my head with pride and say - I WORK FOR F5 - A company which does the RIGHT THING , A company whose DNA has HUMAN FIRST sentiment in its core and A company which stands TRUE to its actions for EQUALITY, DIVERSITY and INCLUSION. Last but not the least A Company comprising of GREAT HUMANS !! 

In all - I am PROUD to #BeF5 !!  

Happy 25th to the most HUMAN CENTRIC company on this earth !!
