I Am Proof of God's Goodness

Hello to another week of encouragement.?I wanted to remind you of this one thing.

You are proof of God's goodness.

I know that I am not where I am today because of my own effort or "genius". This is why I call it "God-given genius" because it is not mine. The world can boast of IQ, intellect, degrees, and prowess. While these things are definitely amazing, they are not the reason we are where we are today.

How can I say this? Because when we look at our lives and then look at the choices that we've made in our lives, the end result should have been worse. However, this is where I know God is real because I've seen things happen in my life that science, luck, coincidence, success, etc., were not the reason for them happening.

It was God. The fact that God gave me this mind (after I almost lost it in 2012) to have the desire to speak about His word is a blessing. The fact that He uses my voice to encourage people is astonishing to me. Who I am and the things that I do are proof of how good God has been to me.?

My choices should have given my story a different ending. This is why when I go through tests and trials, I just worship and submit to God because certain tests and trials were almost my endings. However, God gave me a new beginning.?

This is why I know that the name my parents gave me (Genesis) was not just because I was their "first" or because they believed that I would possess leadership skills.

It's because God has called me to speak to people's beginnings. I'm called to speak life so that you will start, build, grow, and flourish in the things of God. So that's why I'm here today to remind you of this one thing.?

You are proof of God's goodness.

God fashioned you in the womb to be a beacon of His glory. Don't condemn yourself. Stop being so hard on yourself every other minute. Love who God has made you to be and live so that others can see what God's love looks like. We're not perfect. We make mistakes but God loves us and that's the story we need to share.

Here are six scriptures to read today:

1. "I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul."?(Psalm 31:7)
2. "Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD. How precious is Your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of Your wings."?(Psalm 36:5-7)
3. "For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life."?(John 3:16)
4. "But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."?(Romans 5:8)
5. "And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love."?(Romans 5:5)
6. "God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love — not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us.”?(1 John 4:9-12)
