I AM PEACE SHORT FILM FORUM

Join us all at the 7th GAMIP Summit PEACE IN ACTION Colombia, Oct 3-7, 2022. Presenting 2022 FILM FORUM Short Showcase: I AM PEACE - GRIT. GRACE. THE GOLAS.

You are invited to submit to the first GAMIP Global Film Forum.

This is a film forum featuring shorts which explore issues of Peace - it is broad because we are interested in the diverse shapes this word (peace) can take - it could be about conflict resolution , inner peace, resilience in the face of adversity. From the personal to the collective, we invite the expoloration of non violent solutions to cyclical warring, towards implementing new systems and expanding mindsets that promote the role of the Culture of Peace in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and a better world for all of humanity.

WHO WILL BE ATTENDING THE FORUM

A cultural mix of students, dignataries, representatives of NGO's, academics, activists, indigenous groups, governmental representatives, we the people, Peacebuilders.

GUIDLINES FOR SUBMISSION / FAQ

• What genre is accepted for the showcase? // All genres all acepted, documentary, fiction, animation, art film, etc.
• What is the topic of this showcase? // Your film must address related peace issues and at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Grit Grace. The Goals.
• What is the length? // Between 1 and 15 minutes (shorts)
• Who can participate? // Anyone enrolled in a college or university or between the ages of 18 - 35.
• Where will it show? // At the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC) and the University of Boyacá, Tunja, Colombia, in person-and-on-line for the month of October as part of the 7th GAMIP Summit: Peace in Action. In addition, it will be posted on the DCMP website (Described and Captioned Media Program).

I AM PEACE - GAMIP Scholarship Award. Film - Media - Arts.

Awarded yearly to one promising young filmmaker/activist:

• A monetary award and prize services package (TBD) to be used toward film development to be shown at the Forum.

Awarded Filmmaker will present a workshop or be part of the Summit audience dialogue or panel presentations onle or in person.

• Is there compensation for my film? // Although rich in experience and exposure - There is no monetary exchange for participation. Your film message will get exposure around the world and recognition for your participation. We might ask you to present your film in other scenarios around the world in our GAMIP peace building activities and panels.

Send a link to your film (youtube, vimeo) if you are selected we will ask you to send screener copy. All submmission MUST have English subtitles.

• Who selects the films? // Selected short films, vetted by university screeners will have an opportunity to be part of and hace access to a network of independent young filmmakers at the GAMIP Summit "PEACE IN ACTION" Summit highlighting the invaluable input of PEACE in your life and those you touch with your message.
