I am Looking for a New Passion to Grow

Each new business cycle brings a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Chaos and ambiguity often come with each cycle and someone needs to help organizations build a new and better path. How does an organization discover those trends? How will your team be readying to take the lead with the latest changes? How can you avoid chasing shiny objects? It is a fog that many companies need to work through and make their way to clearer ground to see the horizon.

I eliminate the fog.

I want to create products/teams/practices/customer experience within an organization where a strong connector leader is needed to discover solutions and be a creative problem solver who is passionate about striving for excellence. Someone who knows how to build teams often discussed in The Connected Company by Dave Gray and looking to the future of customer experiences as is often discussed in The Intention Economy by Doc Searls.

When I created the personalization platform at Best Buy in 2011, I built a big data and data science practice that changes how the company does business and contributed to its current success. I brought in opensource technology, faster methods of development and a team spirit that had people developing with passion.  We were ahead of our time compared to other retailers but just right for the needs of Best Buy to build a better future. It became a template that other companies copy. I called that platform the Experience Platform, because we buy experiences and the act of that should be a positive experience in itself.

At Target I helped to shape how technology, marketing and data science can work together. Areas that often didn’t know how to relate were able to and teams started adopting a method that helped them move to market faster.

At CH Robinson, I built a practice that spawned the new data driven suite of products that has been credited with making the company a pioneer in logistic AI all while giving customers what they were longing for. In each case I channeled teams and energy to bring to market ideas which drove profits and growth for the organization and the teams involved.

I am looking for my next opportunity to grow a new team or practice to achieve new heights of success. I want to solve problems, I want to take on challenges. I want to settle down and grow a business for the long-term.

Do you know any small to mid-sized companies who want to use their agility to their advantage and grow big? Or a large company that wants to be able to be nimble yet use their market strength as well? I grow companies, products and passion on the team and with the customer base.

Please share! I am looking for a new passion to grow, a place that is looking for a leader to help mentor, build and share.

I would love to learn more.
