How long have you been in the distribution industry? I have been in the distribution industry for 10 Years
What is your favorite part of your field of work? My favorite part about my job is helping other employees be successful in the workplace and making sure all customers are satisfied with their orders.
What are you passionate about? I am passionate about my family.
What career development has led to your current position? In 2014, I started working for Imperial Dade though Monroe staffing agency. I was hired as a picker. A year after Imperial Dade hired me. I went from being a picker to a loader, to receiving, to being a drop man, to checking orders, and to doing inventory. Now I am a supervisor, I take part in interviews, and even travel to different locations when Imperial opens a new company to train the new employees.
What does Hispanic Heritage month mean to you? Hispanic Heritage month is important because it provides an opportunity to celebrate the integral part the Hispanic / Latino community has had in growing and strengthening our democracy.

How has your heritage contributed to who you are today? ?My heritage has contributed to me great values, sense of being, and identity.
What are some traditions in your family that are important to you? Family reunions are a time when all generations, old and new, come together. Family tradition plays an important role in most families’ day to day, and not just for the holidays.
What is something you wish others knew about your culture? The people in my culture are always looking for different ways to better themselves and give their family a better life. They often find creative ways to earn a living, even under challenging circumstances like being undocumented immigrants. For example, in some cities you can see families including children on the streets selling items like chocolates, flowers, and cold water to support themselves.?
What do you like most about working at Imperial Dade? I like that we at Imperial Dade are all a team and work together to help each other out when needed.
How do you contribute to your team’s success daily? I help the team wherever the help is needed. For example, if there is a picker that called out, I help the pickers out and they feel motivated to work not feel like now we have more work to do.
Who has inspired you professionally? My children have been my inspiration for wanting to always be greater.
How important is it to be part of an inclusive workplace? It is very important to be part of a workplace that welcomes and supports people with all kinds of differences.
