I AM EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE...

A little over 16 years ago, in my fledgling years as a young Operations Manager, I was recognised for my efforts in designing and building a business & education partnership between schools and my employer at the time Next Generation Clubs. The aim of this program was to build healthy minds and healthy bodies, through exercise and health and fitness education. Provided in a state-of-the-art bricks and mortar facility, capitalising on low usage hours to deliver our community responsibility.

Faded, but still proud.

Thanks to 2 fantastic, like-minded partners in Sharon Phillips (Schools Sports Partnerships) and Yvette Cooper, Havering Council. That initial program we started was launched Nationally as the Fitter Schools Challenge and I believe still lives on today in one form or another.

Roll on to 2022 after relocating to the Philippines in 2020 and seeing the "not quite good" PE and health education my son gets in the schools, I decided to go about making a real change again. Roll forward 17 Months and I am pleased to announce that PHit Kids will officially go live in January 2024.

The PHit Kids program has two primary objectives.

  1. To support schools nationwide in delivering 60 minutes of high quality, physical activity to every pupil at least once per week + 30 minutes of health & wellness education covering everything from nutrition to mental health, stress awareness and substance abuse. We will engage and exercise these young minds and hopefully we will nurture a fitter, healthier generation, and future members for the Philippines Fitness Industry.
  2. Create opportunity for industry professionals to expand their income and start to drive up their base earning potential. We will provide support schools with access to vetted, upskilled industry professionals who will have been provided with lesson plans, age group prepared, to provide as part of the weekly PHit Kids sessions. These certified professionals will have potential to earn as they deliver these programs. Creating opportunities in there off peak hours to supplement their incomes, and in turn enhance and develop their skills. Making them more valuable to industry employers.

PHit Kids is about building a fitter, healthier future. What I would like to do now is reach out to my network and the wider fitness community within the Philippines. I am looking for partners and sponsors to get involved with our program. Specifically, I am looking for the following:

  • Equipment Suppliers: Not all schools have sports equipment, not all schools can afford to buy equipment. I am looking for a supplier of basic group exercise equipment - barbells, light weights, step blocks, basic functional equipment like slam balls etc. I need to talk pricing for schools that are interested and some support kit that we can use to take around schools.
  • Gyms, Studios, Sports Facilities, Hotel Leisure facilities. Not all schools have access to quality space for group exercise. I would like to hear from any of the aforementioned facilities who have room to host groups of any size from 15 to 100. We can make it work.
  • Sponsors. We have a number of sponsorship packages for companies wishing to be involved through a financial commitment. This is the first and only program of its kind in the Philippines and we aim to launch with much fanfare and publicity. This is a fantastic opportunity for any company looking to develop their corporate social responsibility program in 2024. What better way can there be to give something back to your community than through enriching lives and improving the health and wellbeing of our future.

This has been a great journey all ready, and I am only at the start. Please drop me a line, a DM or email me on [email protected] if you are committed to getting involved in;
