No, I am not a dental consultant ANYMORE. Been there and done that. I loved it. There are so many AMAZING Dental Consultants out there that provide extremely valuable information. They have a wealth of knowledge that helps dental practices excel to the next level... most of the time anyway.
As a consultant, I would go into practices and provide curriculum that would benefit a practice. I made a difference. IF they implemented. IF they held people accountable to the training and IF the owners made sure things remained consistent. Those are big IFs.
I still teach. I still create systems. Now I take it a step further, I am their FRACTIONAL TRAINING OFFICER. What that means is I work a fraction of my time in their practice to oversee implementation and hold people accountable. I dedicate a certain number of hours per week for reviewing the reports, listening to recorded phone calls, checking the insurance, and more to make sure that the investment in my services is paying off. It is as simple as that.
Fractional people are vested in your practice but don't come with an astronomical salary that a full time C suite position would have. It is customized per organization and the team embraces the fact that this person wants them to succeed.
So no, I am not a dental consultant anymore. I am a FRACTIONAL TRAINING OFFICER. If you would like more information about what we do, please visit DSOFACTS.NET

1 个月Love this explanation of your shift. I can relate as a fractional Ombuds who helps teams better manage conflict and create a healthy, collaborative environment. I also found training on conflict resolution was helpful but feel short because people hesitated to use the skills they learned. It was more productive for me to get involved in facilitating difficult conversations and modeling best practices. Both ability and confidence goes through the roof. Brenda, I think Fractionals are the next big thing to accelerate growth. What do you think???
