I am always Right!!!

Being right is the worst addiction as this destroys most of your relationships at home and office.
When you are in a competition of being right all the time - your brain is hijacked and it stops working positively and logically. The brain goes in a defensive mode and pushes you into a never-ending argument to prove yourself right. The brain makes you believe that if you lose the argument you will be powerless and a loser. This stops your logical, balanced thinking that helps you respect and considers another point of view.
And once you win an argument (fight) with your dominance and arrogance - your animal brain makes you believe that you are a winner and then this becomes your habit and routine.
What you don't realize that slowly people around you will either stop arguing with you or start avoiding your presence and communication.
What can you do to stop this?
- Focus on the Issue, not the person. Be objective.
- You may disagree after listening but please listen without judging.
- Give everyone a chance to speak one by one.
- Winning is not everything in relationships.
- You don't have to disrespect or speak in a loud voice to win an argument.
Don't forget - Your happiness and success are entirely dependent on the relationships you have with people around you at home or office.
Spread Love and Peace not Hate and Blood.
Remember 1 + 1 can be 2 or 11, but 1 - 1 is always Zero.

3 年Ratnesh Jain Sorry for my views but these are personsal, hence, no offence. There are several assumptions here. It is assumed that a person who is always right, obviously through supporting logic, is arrogant, dominant, disrespectful, poor listener, etc..And, if the person is able to prove with evidence that he is right then why should he / she be worried about the people around. Truth is truth and cannot be or should be belied even if the truth is in minority. In fact, this is the challenge with our society today. We are followers and not believers and this blog is also suggesting to be one.

3 年Well said Ratnesh - Many suffers from “I know it all”. Syndrome. Humility and eagerness to listen & learn is an intrinsic behaviour of human. ( its either there or not). As Stephen Covey says - “choose your battle” and “empty the cup”!!!!!!
