I Agree (aka "Let's focus on the problem")
After three years of hiatus, Milan will inaugurate today its 60th Design Week, the world's most important Design Fair. Until June 12, thousands of events will fill the Milanese life.
As legal designers, we wanted to be an active part of it, so we structured the following activities.
In the morning, we will host the SOA (State of Art 2022), the first event for legal designers in the country. Around 30 Italian professionals (both online and offline) will share their perspectives about legal design and the challenges they currently face.
In the evening, we will show in the backyard of LCA Milan offices (Brera Area) - for the first time in Italy - the artistic work "I Agree" from Dima Yarovinsky (a monumental piece of art about terms and conditions of the most important social networks). The work will be exposed for a few days, then sent to the Cittadella degli Archivi, for permanent installation, as a gift to the Italian citizens

With the core team of Design Rights we brainstormed significantly about how to be involved actively in the Design Week. We thought about exposing our works, calling influencers to raise hype on the matter (we know quite a few ??), or organizing an international summit. The final decision, however, has been focusing on a problem we daily face (you know, after a while it becomes a positive habitude). And nothing works better than visuals to realize how much legal design could positively impact our life as consumers and citizens.
A big thank you to LCA Studio Legale, Mondora SB, all the members of our legal design team, the Italian legal designers who will be involved in the SOA, and, of course, to Dima to make this happen. As always, it's harder than expected, but it's absolutely worth it!
Countdown to celebration....
