I?aki Peralta: new CEO of Sanitas and Bupa Europe & LatinAmerica

I am very happy to announce that I?aki Peralta will be the new CEO of Sanitas and Bupa ELA. I?aki has been helping boost new projects for more than 20 years that have made us grow as a company, as professionals and as human beings. Because if something characterizes I?aki besides being a great professional, it is his human quality.

When I talk about the importance of supermillennials in companies, professionals like you always come to mind. People with a long professional career who know how to adapt in these new times where each new day represents a different challenge; even more so during this health emergency situation, which you have faced with courage and always looking for solutions for our clients in the most difficult moments.

Furthermore, you are a person who knows our organization very well: in 1997 you started working in the management of our nursing homes; in 2006 you became the regional director of Sanitas Seguros in the Northeast, to later take over in 2008, as general director of our hospitals; and, in 2013, you joined as CEO of Sanitas Seguros. And you didn't stop there. Last year you also accepted the challenge of making this position compatible with the general supervision of the business of Bupa Mexico, Bupa's health insurance business in that North American country.

A long race, with a lot of effort and dedication behind it. You have proven to be a great leader and you have always prioritize listening to customers, to achieve high levels of satisfaction and looking for new channels, such as video consulting, to bring healthcare closer to people. Nobody better than you to lead this company. We are very fortunate to have such talent within Sanitas.

Let′s keep three ideas in mind: let's never stop transforming ourselves, let's always look for new ways to grow and let′s keep looking for new channels to listen to customers. I?aki Peralta represents all three. We will continue to build the healthcare of the future together for years to come. Because I?aki and I will continue to work together, although now from different positions: he also joins the management committee of Bupa, at the head of which I also undertake my new adventure as CEO of the group.
