Low cost stuck pipe insurance secured for major Operator

The Operator who has a significant concern over stuck pipe has insured against excessive costs by running the HyPR? in the drillstring to recover quickly from this situation should it arise. The low cost of running the tool and rapid DP recovery time, now provides a massive cost reduction for Operators globally.

How does the HyPR? HoleSaver? help?

Stuck pipe incidents cost the drilling industry millions, if not billions, each year. And now, with the sector tightening the purse strings even further, it's paramount to ensure cost-effective solutions are established to mitigate the burden inherently associated with stuck pipe.

The HyPR? is a simple full-strength Sub, one that can be run in the BHA, in the DP or run in a series to maximise DP coverage options. The Sub itself remains dormant until activated therefore posing no obstruction or "weak-point" in the drilling assembly.

In the unfortunate event of getting stuck, most Operators will jar in a attempt to get free. If unsuccesful, then the option can be taken to activate the HyPR? by means of dropping a simple Dart into the Sub.

Once landed, the Dart will effectively jet the (hidden) internal API pin connection of the HyPR? Sub in around 60 minutes. From there, the HyPR? Sub can be parted with a combination of torque and overpull from surface and DP can be recovered. Depending on what Dart has been selected, side-tracking or fishing operations can commence instantly.
