Hypothesis Testing

I was at a presentation yesterday at Exelon's Innovation Expo, and heard a panel discussion moderated by Robert Wolcott. Something he said that resonated with me was in regards to the idea of fail fast, where you are supposed to celebrate failure. Being able to rapidly spin up proofs of concept is about avoiding failure because you test hypothesis before you've invested a bunch of money. Subtle but important difference I think.
