Hypocrites pulling at strings

I come across all kinds of articles and interviews with authorized/franchised distributors. When I get to that statement they all seem to say "Don't buy from unauthorized channels and your supply chain will remain safe" i find myself rolling my eyes further back than I have ever seen my now 17 year old ever capable of. The hypocritical part of this statement, a number of authorized/franchise distributors own a piece of an independent and/ or they also buy from independents. The independent market has been alive and well for over 40 years, some of us have been here for most of that time, I'm not admitting to anything here. We serve a purpose and there are alot of good companies out there that do the right thing and some really bad pond scum doing nothing that we could consider any shade of being ethical. With this I end by saying stop hiding behind that statement, we are not here to take your business,we could not survive. We live on the low hanging fruit of obsolescence and spot buys. Bottom line is you should know your distributor, visit them, do an audit or accept an audit from another company that was recently done with them. Make sure they have a QMS that is audited, insurance, knowledge and longevity. DO NOT GOOGLE & buy without checking into them company, chances are you will regret it.
