Howdy there!

We’ve made it past Labor Day, and the official first day of Fall is right around the corner. Also known as busy season.

Everyone’s back from vacation and ready to hit the ground running with new initiatives, projects and 2025 plans.

I, for one, think it’s an exciting time because a new clarity drifts in with the crisp autumn air. However, it can feel a little overwhelming to have all of these ideas on the table at once and not know how to prioritize.

When you’re in this go mode, going back to basics can be helpful. Simply sitting down to organize your tasks and ideas can set you up with a roadmap for success.?

Try the Eisenhower Matrix, which helps you sort by urgency and importance.

Or the Action Priority Matrix, which lets you determine levels of impact and effort.?

Plus, you can always use the tried and true SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) Goals to break down each project.

Remember: Don’t take on too much at once. Your best work will be done if you have a logical and achievable game plan.?

HubSpot Lessons For Folks in a Hurry

By Phil Stott , Head of Client Success, Hypha HubSpot Development

As we leave summer in the rearview, our team is taking advantage of what might be the last moment in a while to breathe and gear up for the busy months ahead.

On our calendars in the immediate future:

  • Pushing for new accreditations that showcase our breadth of experience across the HubSpot universe, from streamlining marketing processes to a complete reimagining of core business processes and tech stack setup.
  • Even as we’re building case studies of some of the work we’ve completed this year to support those applications, we’ll be continuing to hone and refine our skills and knowledge.?
  • In addition to the upcoming INBOUND conference—recently highlighted in this space by my colleague Kevin—we’re also in the midst of upgrading our team certifications in the HubSpot Academy.

The reason I mention this isn’t just to pat ourselves on the back—it’s to point out what an incredible resource the Academy is for anyone looking to improve their HubSpot fluency. So much so that we’ve built it into our employee training processes. No matter what you’re looking to master—from sending an email to connecting and leveraging external data sources—the HubSpot Academy has a ton of resources to help you get there, including videos, documentation, and even exams to ensure your knowledge is at the appropriate level.?

Better yet, HubSpot recently rolled out a series of “on-the-go” videos to give folks in a hurry just enough information to help them grasp concepts and tools. Coming in at between 3 and 4 minutes, this series is something of a Cliffs Notes version that can serve as a jumping-off point for deeper study if necessary.?

While our team will mostly be focused on certification-length videos and courses, I’d recommend the on-the-go series to anyone looking to improve their basic knowledge and fluency with the tools. You can find them by logging into your portal at any time, opening the menu next to your profile picture in the top right corner, and selecting “ HubSpot Academy ” from the drop down list.?

Happy learning!

The Washington Post : Few have tried OpenAI’s Google killer. Here’s what they think. by Lisa Bonos and Gerrit De Vynck ?

This piece had some positive and negative feedback regarding the SearchGPT prototype. Here are a few snippets from each to give an overview:

[Tech professional Daniel Lemire] “said he thought OpenAI’s search tool is better than the AI-generated answers, or ‘overviews,’ that Google has added to its results pages.”

“‘From a company like OpenAI, you’d expect a breakthrough, given their history of state-of-the-art models,’ [software engineer Ananay] Arora said in a phone interview. In comparison to ChatGPT, he said, SearchGPT ‘isn’t exactly too impressive.’”

The Verge : Snapchat is going to put ads next to messages from your friends by Alex Heath ?

The world never seems to run out of real estate for ads.

“Snapchat will soon start ‘experimenting’ with placing sponsored messages next to chat threads from friends, according to CEO Evan Spiegel.

“These ‘Sponsored Snaps’ from brands will appear as unread messages in Snapchat’s main Chat tab, implying that they’ll sit above messages from a person’s contacts until they’re acted on. This is the first time Snap will show ads in the most used part of its app.”
