HyperVerge is now #WFH

Coronavirus has made its ominous presence felt in discussions and meetings in HyperVerge for a couple of weeks now. As a company made largely of young people (#millennials #ftw), we acknowledged the elephant in room but didn't give it the attention it was seeking. Because, tbh, we're not afraid.

But today, things changed. And fast. We called back our teammates from the #HyperOutpost in US and France. We met multiple times in the day, read like crazy, looked at data, used first principles thinking, and concluded that if the number of cases in Bangalore follow the exponential it has in France, Germany and Italy, then the risk on #HyperHealth and business continuity is too high. We understand the math, and we don't want to take that kind of a risk. So, our CEO Kedar proclaimed that we'll work from home, and March 13, 2020 will be day1.

I've personally worked from home for hundreds of days in the last decade. I'm a #WFHninja. But it took me a lot of time to get there, like it took a long time for me to learn to swim, really long. And yet, 60+ Hypers will be thrown into the deep end tomorrow morning, like thousands across the world.

It'll be interesting, to say the least.
