Hyperlist of Global Blockchain Grants and why you should not miss this!

It is very important to let enthusiasts tap into the innovative possibilities of blockchain technology. From smart contracts to dApps, a lot of companies and government bodies are now offering grants in efforts to build really useful applications and ideas that can scale the blockchain to newer arenas. Here’s a quick list of grants that I came across and I hope this helps people who are interested in a variety of components in blockchain technology. ?

Chainlink: The Chainlink community grant program funds the creation of new smart contract applications that secure greater value across more markets.

Consensys: ConsenSys Grants funds blockchain technology projects that meet the needs of a rapidly-accelerating Ethereum ecosystem.

Web3 Foundation, the company behind Polkadot, launched several?grant programs?that focus on funding software development and various research efforts related to Kusama, Polkadot and Substrate.

Avalanche-X was launched in early 2020 and has been offering grants to developers who create different products.?

Harmony Grants?are meant to drive the platform’s mainnet utility, i.e. cryptographic innovations and decentralized community. The projects need to be aligned with the 2020 roadmap that touches on auditable privacy and cross-border finance

Kadena Technical Grants: Technical Grants fund projects that support the growth of?Kadena’s ecosystem by lowering barriers to entry, providing novel uses, opening new markets, and more. The Grants encourage innovation through prompted and unprompted grant categories, and they reward participants that deliver results.

Aragon’s Nest program is a community with a mission to empower freedom by creating tools for decentralised organisations to thrive. Aragon community is always looking for individuals who want to help fight for freedom.

XRPL Grants: XRPL Grants fund select open-source projects that continue to advance the growing XRP Ledger community.

Lisk Grants Program: Entrepreneurs and developers can receive 60,000 CHF (paid in LSK tokens) to build a blockchain application on the Lisk blockchain application platform.?All intellectual properties and rights stay with you.

Solana: The Solana Foundation Grants Program is focused on funding efforts to further censorship resistance on the Solana Network

Akash Developer Grant Program, a community-driven source of funding and support for promising developers and teams. The purpose of the program is to grow the developer community, encourage collaboration between developers, and develop open-source projects to promote further adoption and usage of Akash Network’s decentralized cloud.

Government of Australia: The Blockchain Pilot Grants provide funding to demonstrate the potential for blockchain to reduce regulatory compliance burden for business.

Polygon in partnership with Dorahacks launched the?Polygon Grants Hackathon?in August 2021. The hackathon’s aim was to support early-stage ideas in the blockchain world.?

The Solana Grants Program is meant to help new end-user applications and new infrastructure projects launch to democratize the global financial system and the internet.?

Near Grants Program, worth $250 million, was launched in February 2021. $45M was allocated across 120+ projects and the funding is spread across the next four years.?

Binance and WazirX: Polaris is an initiative designed under the Blockchain for India Fund to meet the needs of first-time entrepreneurs and tech talents who want to explore working on crypto and blockchain-related projects.?

Fantom: The Fantom Foundation announced the launching of a $314M fund distributed to both existing and new projects and aid protocol teams in developing new products on Fantom.

EU Blockchain Funding: The EU provides funding for blockchain research and innovation through grants and prizes and by supporting investment.

America’s Seed Fund grants projects based on Distributed Ledger

Etherium grants offer a variety of funding grants for projects working to promote the success and growth of the Ethereum ecosystem.?

Kraken has Open-source grant program designed to highlight and elevate great work that’s crucial to helping cryptocurrencies reach their potential.

Blockchain Innovation Challenge by American Council of Education offers prize to winner who can articulate a vision and design pilots that addressed an ecosystem-first designed approach driving interoperability, social mobility, and learner control.?

Blockchain Congress: The University of L'Aquila in collaboration with BISITE Research Group (bisite.usal.es) offers 30 grants/awards to doctoral and young doctors both to the event itself (including Workshops and Special Sessions) and to the parallel Co-located events.

Ecosystem Support Program by Etherium: The Ecosystem Support Program is a branch of the Ethereum Foundation focused on supporting projects and entities within the greater Ethereum community, in order to promote the success and growth of the ecosystem.
