Hyperion 11.2.1 with Chrome or Edge.....Hold Off
One of the benefits that is touted with Hyperion 11.2.1 or 11.2.2 is the use of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. These are both "open source" browsers. Oracle states in the readme notes that the future is to use Chrome or Edge as Internet Explorer will be put in the pasture.
But......... there is an issue with using both Chrome and Edge with 11.2.1 and 11.2.2. The issue occurs with using Chrome/Edge with Shared Services. The issue occurs with provisioning.
Login to workspace. Navigate-->Administer-->Shared Services Console
Expand Native Directory or your External Provider. In my example, I choose Native Directory. Expand and click on Users. When you select the user and right click and select Provision, you will get a blank grey screen. See below.
As of now, it is an open bug with Oracle and the fix is to use Firefox or IE 11.
Once the issue is corrected, I will post an update. So stay tuned.

4 年A quick update on this. After upgrading Chrome to the 86 version, the LCM issues seems to be fixed with 11.2.2. I did not try with 11.2.3 as the README notes state that the issue is fixed. But with 11.2.2, upgrade the version of Chrome to 86 and it works great.

4 年This one is a puzzle! It worked as expected the first time I tried it in Chrome. Within the same session, I right-clicked a different user and then I got Michael's issue. The gray screen is not a browser scripting issue... the gray screen is exactly what the web server is sending to us. <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE></TITLE> <META NAME="Generator" CONTENT="EditPlus"> <META NAME="Author" CONTENT=""> <META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT=""> <META NAME="Description" CONTENT=""> </HEAD> <BODY BGColor="#c8d1d8"> </BODY> </HTML>
Micheal - I had the team re-test and confirm with 11.2.2 and internally we dont see the issue with these versions: edge version - Version 84.0.522.40 chrome version - Version 84.0.4147.89 If this is still an issue please message me the SR details and I'll chase this down.
