As living beings we have an innate understanding of water – after all ~60% of the human body is water, and ~70% of our planet is covered with water. We understand the joys, trials & tribulations associated with water.
What about Data - which is measured in the Quintillion Bytes now – we have an incredible amount of data flow we are dealing with every minute: ~20 million text messages, 4 million google searches, 200 million spam emails, 50,000 Uber trips, …. the list goes on. Even before a baby is born, the digital data flow starts with the digital sonogram – after birth the data flow explodes - medical records, videos, pictures, registrations, …. Data is pervasive like Water – both happen to be Nouns. Look at the tables to explore the similarities.
So in a way, learning’s from how we manage Water as humans might help us effectively prosecute our Data challenges.
