Hybrid Work Culture - The New Normal?

During the Pandemic, the work culture went through a major flux. From working full time in offices to working full time at home, people changed their work habits altogether. Work from home became the new normal for the corporate world and it has become a task going back.?

People were coddled during the Pandemic Paradise Period. Working from the comfort of one’s residence is much more preferred by them. Attending meetings without traveling a mile, in the presence of your family/friends was looked upon. And now that the virus has bid us adieu, a Hybrid Work Culture has come into existence.?

Hybrid Working explained in lay man’s language is, Half time working from home and the other half working from the office. Now, this happens over the time period of a week or month. It depends on the company and their rules set. Some companies call in their employees for half of the days of the week while some call them in for half days of the month. The office working days usually depend on the managers or the respective company policies. Some companies even provide the employees with an option to choose their days of working from office from the given number of days from the month.

Everyone is slowly getting acquainted with this new work culture and going back full time in the office work culture seems next to impossible. Employees are full fledgedly protesting against going back to offices and are much happier in this system of Hybrid Working. So, it is the question of the hour whether,

‘How Productive is Hybrid Working Model compared to Walk-In Office Model?’?

In the Hybrid Work Model, employees have the freedom to get done with their work at their own time or pace, only to meet their deadlines on time. Being a flexible method, it was envisaged to make employees slack or procrastinate in their work habits. But the actual results were quite the opposite of it. In their free will, people worked better. For instance, some worked better in the morning while some worked better in the evening. Some worked better in the constraints of their bed while some worked better in their own study room or a cafe. The possibilities are endless, but what is common is productivity.? Seeing this, most of the offices inferred that the Hybrid Work Model was actually pretty feasible for them as the use of substantial Office Resources was negligible and it saved them a lot more money.?

Hence it is justifiable to say that the Work Culture is changing immensely and Hybrid Working is the new normal. Employees are happy because of it as well as the Managers. People do miss the Break Room chats, Lunch time shenanigans and the offline meetings. But if offered along with your home comfort as an option, it is nothing but obvious to assume everyone's answer. Hybrid Work Model for the win!
