The National HVACR Education Conference , hosted by HVAC Excellence, recently concluded with resounding success, drawing over 1,000 HVACR educators, trainers, and industry professionals. These industry leaders attended to stay at the forefront of technological innovation, keen on learning about the latest advancements transforming the HVACR industry.?
Taking place from March 24-27th, attendees were immersed in what felt like a boot camp experience, over 100 hands-on sessions, lectures, exhibitions, and round table discussions. The conference highlighted the pivotal role of technology in shaping the future of HVACR education and practice. A central theme revolved around the potency of partnerships in propelling HVACR education forward. Despite being competitors, prominent manufacturers and industry stakeholders united to exchange knowledge on new equipment, controls, refrigerants, and regulatory updates. Daikin Comfort Technologies garnered special recognition for their significant contribution to HVACR education, with fifty (50) team members demonstrating how collaboration cultivates innovation and excellence in training programs.

The event provided a platform for members of Chemours, Daikin, Fujitsu, Heatcraft, Honeywell, Hussmann, Kysor Warren, LG, Midea, Trane, and other leading manufacturers to collaborate, ensuring our educational programs stay current. Topics spanned from new equipment and refrigerants to cutting-edge controls and optimizing energy performance. The seamless collaboration between Department of Energy representatives, who drive regulatory changes, and manufacturers developing new equipment to meet those standards, facilitated a comprehensive understanding of the industry's trajectory.?
DOE's Commitment to Education and Innovation
The United States Department of Energy (DOE) and its affiliated laboratories took a central role, spotlighting Federal funding initiatives aimed at bolstering HVACR education and workforce development. Sessions delved into leveraging incentives for training programs and contractors, preparing professionals for upcoming next-generation heat pump technologies, and updating training programs to align with market demands. It's crucial to note that just as refrigerants are being phased out and phased down, many legacy heat pump technologies will follow suit. Regardless of location, next-generation heat pump technologies will dominate residential installations in the years ahead. DOE's proactive involvement underscored the critical role of education in propelling technological advancements and addressing industry challenges head-on.?

Celebrating Excellence and Heritage (Photos Session 1, Session 2)
The conference featured two notable general sessions. The first, hosted by Daikin Comfort Technologies , served as a dual celebration for their 100th anniversary, featuring a special opening reception with Taiko drummers, and as an opportunity for their fifty team members to engage with attendees and explore ways to better support them in achieving their goals. The second session, hosted by HVAC Excellence, featured a panel comprising members from Daikin, ESCO Institute, Fujitsu, and the Department of Energy. This panel addressed a wide range of questions regarding regulatory changes and technological advancements. Additionally, time was dedicated to recognizing the achievements of individuals who earned the title of Certified Master HVACR Educator, attained third-party accreditation for their programs, or were named winners in the top instructor/trainer competition sponsored by Trutech Tools .
Credentialing
While the conference has ended, attendees now can take two educator credentialing exams FREE OF CHARGE. Attendees were emailed details on how to take these exams with through a remove proctoring service, or approved testing center.?
