Though Hurricane Patricia dissipated quickly over the weekend, it still did significant damage and left many families in small coastal communities devastated—families like Maria and her 11-year-old granddaughter Sara.

The roof of their home was completely torn from their house allowing wind and rain to ruin their few belongings, including their mattress and bedding. Worse they had nowhere they could go for temporary housing.
