Hurricane lessons, talking events solopreneurship with Julius Solaris, and the no.1 skill event pros need right now

What if the breakthrough you’re chasing isn’t in doing more, but in slowing down?

Last week, I flew to Miami, for an event I’d been looking forward to for months. But just as I arrived, the retreat I was scheduled to attend?was (of course) cancelled because of the hurricane hitting Florida’s coast.

(I’m so grateful to have stayed safe, and my thoughts and prayers haven't stopped for?everyone affected by the storm.)

In gratitude for staying safe during the hurricane, I’ll be donating a percentage of all program sales this week to the SEARCH Foundation, which supports event professionals in crisis, including those affected in Florida. It’s my way of giving back to the community and supporting those who’ve been impacted. If you’ve been thinking about working together, now’s the perfect time - invest in yourself and know you're giving back, too.

Instead of forcing new plans or rushing home, I made the decision to slow down. I used this unexpected time to focus on my own goals, personal growth, and to spend some much-needed time with my family. Sometimes, the most powerful shifts don’t come from doing more.. they come from allowing yourself the space to just be.

This week gave me that space. I landed feeling refreshed, driven?and clear on where I'm heading - with more expansion and focus than ever before on how I'm leading my business, my self, and my industry.?And with that clarity in mind..

I’m currently taking applications for TWO 1:1 business & mindset coaching spots for six and seven-figure founders within the events industry.

Solopreneurship in the events industry: Boldpush event this week

There’s a very powerful shift happening across the industry where event pros are choosing solopreneurship over “traditional” work. I won’t sugarcoat it -?it’s not easy. But here’s what it can bring you (coming from my own experience and that of my coaching clients):

  • Uncapped income
  • Freedom of choice – who you work with, when you work, how you work
  • No micromanagers
  • More chance to put life first
  • Ownership over what you create

For many high performers in events who have gone solo, they’ll never look back.

On Thursday, we discuss. I’ll be speaking alongside Julius Solaris , Sina Bünte, CMP, DES , and Irina Graf about this shift during a panel at 4pm BST / 8 AM PT.?

Finally, let’s talk about the no.1 skill event professionals need to master right now.

The events industry is unpredictable, but your business shouldn’t be. The foundation of every thriving events business is the ability to confidently and consistently close sales.

If you want consistent growth in your events business, the key is mastering sales. In an unpredictable industry, knowing how to consistently attract and book clients is the foundation of a sustainable business. Here are a few event-specific strategies to focus on:

1) Double down on your zone of genius, get specific on the exact outcome your event services provide, people are looking to hire experts not generalists right now?

2)?Leverage referrals and repeat clients -?The events industry thrives on relationships. Build systems to nurture past clients and turn them into repeat business or sources of high-quality referrals

3)?Simplify your sales conversations -?Events are complex, but your sales process shouldn’t be. Streamline the way you handle enquiries and proposals so that every potential client feels confident and understood.

In?Sales Momentum,?the ultimate sales program for events entrepreneurs and solopreneurs,?we dive deep into each of these strategies, and I guide you step by step to help you implement them. From crafting premium packages to mastering conversations that close, this is where you set up a business that consistently books long-term, high-value clients.

If you’re tired of feeling uncertain about where your next client is coming from, you need to be in?Sales Momentum.

We begin next week.?Let's get your sales flowing so you can grow with clarity, confidence, and ease in events. (join here)
