Hurricane Irma Hits Land
Category 5 Hurricane Irma made landfall overnight on Barbuda, a Caribbean island over which the eye is passing. Irma, with winds of up to 185 MPH, is the most powerful Atlantic hurricane ever recorded; and it’s expected to “rake or sideswipe” Puerto Rico on Wednesday, and could hit Florida by Saturday. Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands joined Florida in declaring a state of emergency as residents scrambled to finish last-minute preparations. ? Share your thoughts: #HurricaneIrma
Idea of the Day: The greatest threat to success is not asking for help when you need it, says executive coach Dr. Marshall Goldsmith. “One thing that every great leader, athlete, and talented person has that helps make them the best at what they do is a coach. They all have help,” Goldsmith writes. Find a Coach/Mentor that has done what you want to accomplish! If they have done it--they know exactly what to teach you to do to get those goals met faster and more efficient!
“Can you imagine Pau Gasol or Serena Williams without a coach? How about Floyd Mayweather? Of course not! Why would we think that these greats need help but we can do it by ourselves?”
