Huntsville, Texas Advances Public Improvement Districts ("PID")

On December 7, 2021, the City of Huntsville, Texas ("City") City Council ("Council") received a presentation by City staff on municipal utility districts ("MUD") and public improvement districts ("PID") in order to familiarize council with MUDs and PIDs. The reason for the presentation is that more developers are approaching the City requesting PIDs in what was traditionally an area more familiar with MUDs.

On December 21, 2021, Council voted to authorize the City Manager to prepare the necessary agreements for the creation of a PID as shown in the City agenda link below.?
