"The Hunter" by Joffre O Perreault III

Aylmer ONTARIO- There are times in my life when I am completely floored by the amazing circle of kind friends that I have in my life. Joffre O Perreault III and I met in grade 4, yes over 40 years ago. We were both young scared kids who just wanted to carve a place out of life for ourselves. We both grew up and life took us to different parts of Canada. Several years ago our paths crossed again and on Friday night, he presented me with one of my most cherished possessions when he honored me with a gift. Joffre is an amazing artist, and I am so deeply touched by this gift, can't keep my eyes off of it. Friends, I'd like to present "The Hunter" By. Joffre O Perreault III

"The Hunter". He has a vision and a gaze that looks through this world to next. His ears are perked and his hearing reaches out miles and miles through the bush and beyond. He also hears in the spirit world. He sits calm, his heart slowed and a lone Raven will gnaw with his raspy voice, a red squirrel will chatter and the chickadees will swirl around, often sitting on his bow as a beaver slips into the water and a loon sings way off over the north channel. Winds blow throw the birch, cedars, maples, and oak to create the cacophony along with the animals. It all sharpens to one tone. His nostrils are flared taking in the smell of earth, moss and wet leaves at his feet. He can smell winter far off on the northern wind and smell the north channel along with the cedars where he has perched. His head is slightly cocked to one side, he is one with the bush, one with the universe. He knows that he will meet his deer today, they made a pact in a vision. He asked the mother earth to receive both their steps on their path today. He thanks the buck and sends him to the spirit world. This is "The Hunter" he watches over you. Happy Retirement Brother and may your footsteps always be received and steadied on your path. I am not surprised that his gaze has captivated you. It is a common comment. That fact that you like it, means the world to me. I Love you too my friend. Glad our paths cross.  - Joffre
