Hunt the Vote, Washington and Colorado Updates
Hello Hunter Nation –
Here’s what we’ve been up to the last couple of weeks as we fight to protect our sport, our lifestyle, and our heritage.
In case you missed it, we launched the Hunt The Vote 2022 campaign. It was incredible to see so many of you step up right away and pledge that you will vote in the 2022 election. Now, we have to convince our fellow hunters to do the same. We need you to?send this link?to three of your hunting buddies and spread the word of?Hunt The Vote.?You can watch the recap of the?event here.
Our hunting brothers in Washington were facing a suspension of the 2022 Spring Black Bear Season. HOWEVER, the hunting community came together and left enough comments during the comment period for the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission to consider a proposed rule to establish a shortened 2022 season! We still need your help though. Contact the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission to stand for responsible, regulated bear management and hunting in Washington.

Plan to attend Fish and Wildlife Commission Meeting on March 11, 2022.?For more information on this meeting,?click here.
Last newsletter, we issued a call to action against a bill in Colorado that would ban hunting of bobcat, lynx, and mountain lions. Thanks to everyone’s help, we are ecstatic to announce we shut down the ban attempt!?The Colorado Sun?reported on our efforts, noting that, “Opponents of the measure flooded lawmakers’ email inboxes with comments about the legislation. The debate became so contentious that three of the four prime sponsors of the legislation – all of them Democrats – pulled their support.”
This is a major victory for hunters that would not have happened without your help! Thank you to everyone for fighting and standing up for our hunting rights!
Ted Nugent and his co-host, Keith Mark, had another lively round of conversations this week! This week's topics did not disappoint. Ted and Mark dove into topics such as one of his most popular songs, hunting stories, and some of the latest political headlines.?Be sure to check out each? The Nightly Nuge on our website!
This week on the Wheat Creek blog, Keith shared a great tale about an?old hunting story.?Keith tells the tale of visiting a great man at the Wheat Creek Golden Age facility. The man told Keith different stories about his time hunting over the years. We must remember the importance of the lessons we learn while hunting and to pass those lessons on to our fellow hunters.
Wishing you and your family a blessed couple weeks.
