Disequilibrium.

Economic equilibrium is a condition where market forces are balanced, a concept borrowed from the physical sciences, where observable physical forces can balance each other. Buyers and sellers are driven to offer higher or lower prices and quantities that move the economy toward equilibrium.

The United States has been in a condition of disequilibrium since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

We have lost our way as a nation.
