HUNGER IS NOT A NEW ISSUE IN THE USA
Hunger is a real threat to almost 80 percent of the population in the USA, the percent that rely on food stamps to buy food. The amount of the food stamps is 250 dol. a month per person, amount hardly enough to buy first necessities of food. It was not changed for years and is not connected with the inflation. The price of the bread is 5 dollars. The money from the food stamps are hardly covering the bread and maybe some sides. One decent sandwich in the city is 15 dollars, but that food you can’t buy with food stamps, sorry. Because is served in bars and coffee stores.?
The bad news is the food stamps will be reduced from first of March 2023 with 95 dollars, the amount that was added for Covid 19 pandemic.?
No matter that the rise of the food prices is almost double from before the pandemic, the money will be cut, dooming many Americans to die from hunger.?
Do you know what recommend these people on their website about the food stamps reduction.??“Go to the pantries” they say. Some funny places that are distributing unwanted products, leftovers from the supermarkets, outdated and uneatable. And also they recommend on their website – “Eat fresh vegetables and fresh fruits”. How exactly, the strawberries are 8 dollars for pound, 1 orange is $1.45.
At the same time the help for Ukraine yesterday went another 1. 2 billions, and another 9 billions in the next weeks, declared?Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen in Kyiv, Ukraine yesterday 02/27/2023.
The situation with the undocumented immigrants is even worse, they don’t have food stamps and rely on the government provided food. We read in the news in NYC that the hotels and shelters, housing the immigrants,??are throwing food in crazy amounts. Because??the hotels are getting 7 thousands a month??for one person placement. Not because the residents don’t like the food, as some medias tell us. They just can’t eat the whole food at a specific time provided, because according the order of mayor Adams, they cant bring the food in their rooms and their hotels.?Because he is fighting with the rats.??And what about if these people are sick and can’t go to eat??to the hotel cafeteria,??or have diabetes or other chronic diseases, and need to eat when taking the medications. And if they need special diet. No one cares. Let them go to eat in a restaurant. Or if they want??- on the pavement, and on the benches in the park. As all of the residents are eating in the city of New York.??Even in the expensive offices.?

With what money these people will buy food, nobody cares. Poor needy people are literally left on autopilot. If survive while their documents are coming, it will be a good chance. And it is at least 2 years wait time.?
I personally saw how the guards of these “hotels” are ordering these people to throw the food brought from outside, or from the cafeteria in the same “hotel”, because of the order of the mayor, concerning the rats. And they have little kids. It is not surprising that the little kids are forced by their families to work, to survive and to feed their families and older relatives, who are sick to work. 13-14 years old are working in the city chains, including in the big retailers like Whole foods, Target, hotels, restaurants, a scandal recently??exposed by New York Times.?
The same I have heard was done to deported people by the Nazis during the Second World War, who sent their minors to work??to survive.
That is why the food is being thrown, because the security guards, all of them Africans, and also recent immigrants, but with jobs now,??are ordering these poor people to throw their food, the food they bring from outside or from the restaurant that provides them hot meal from the city.?
I think that throwing food is a crime, millions around the globe are hungry.??I am getting sick of these stupid orders. Mayor is boosting that he has passed through many difficulties in his life like jail and homelessness and know how it is.??I am asking him now. Have you been hungry or have you had kids being hungry to order your security guards to throw food.
