Hungary Seminar for Future Growth
TaeguTec World
TAEGUTEC offers a full range of innovative metalworking solutions that cut manufacturing cost and increases productivity
In Hungary, where economic conditions are expected to improve only slightly in early 2024, TaeguTec's new product seminar equipped clients with information about the right tools to reduce expenses and boost #productivity.
According to the European Union’s EUGO portal, approximately 21 percent of Hungary's overall exports are produced by the country's key industry, the automobile sector. In terms of imports and exports, the auto and spare parts industries make up the largest portion. Electronic circuitry and petroleum product #manufacturing are two more thriving industries.
One European auto parts producer who attended the seminar in the autumn of 2023 explained that they are trying to reduce their downtime and are in need of a true multidirectional turning solution.
“SFEED-TEC POS-S-TURN looks like a good choice for us,” he said. “During the demonstration part, we saw it machine different #steels and #SuperAlloys, that is important for us.”
The POS-S-TURN ZNMV line of #holders and #inserts doubles the cutting edges on positive rake 4-cutting edge inserts.
Its #precise and #stable insert positioning in all cutting directions is handled by the T-Holder’s clamping design and exclusive carbide shim, strong clamping force and rigid pocket structure.
The #DoubleSided ZNMV inserts perform with low cutting forces, have double the number of cutting corners and efficiently control the flow of chips.
This ingenious #multifunctional tool is perfect for back-and-forth #turning, #profile and undercut #machining without exchanging holders. Furthermore, the outstanding POS-S-TURN line maximizes productivity because of its #unique #HighFeed turning capability, especially in back longitudinal and back face turning applications.
One producer of electronic products was interested in two new WIN-SFEED products: the WIN-MILL line for his #milling requirements and the WIN-DRILL line for his #drilling needs.
The WIN-MILL line, including CVKT inserts and holders, are small-size end mills optimized for the miniature industry.
Featuring indexable inserts with ?8 mm and 2-effective teeth end mills, the WIN-MILL line is an excellent choice for #CostReduction. The increased number of teeth means it is a #HighProductivity solution that replaces #carbide #EndMill machining.
Furthermore, WIN-MILL end mills can be applied to various milling applications as the inserts are available in #ShoulderMilling and high feed machining types. The contact between the V-bottom insert and the cutter pocket maximizes #clamping stability for both high feed and #ramping machining, enabling excellent #performance in multiple applications.
As for drilling, “the WIN-DRILL looks good because it’s tiny and available in many sizes and I can change the heads,” he explained.
The WIN-DRILL line has a unique #CuttingEdge design that improves productivity as well as reduces the cost for #small hole applications. Its replaceable head design is available in 0.1 mm increments between 4-5.9 mm head diameters.
“I also like it because it eliminates the need for extra set-up time,” he said. “The product manager showed how it increases productivity compared to the solid carbide drill option we currently use.”
The TaeguTec Drilling product manager explained that these features effectively make the WIN-DRILL family the #innovative small-diameter #hole machining solution.
One auto parts manufacturer explained that he needed a slew of tools for their newer plants. He added that the current bottleneck is affecting all levels of assembly, and at this point, they need a solution that is quick and effective.
“The WIN-SFEED and SFEED-TEC tools have been tested at another one of our lines and they really performed well. Now we need to implement them and find newer solutions to increase productivity,” he said.
In 2019, TaeguTec introduced its advanced line of performance-driven #CuttingTools specifically formulated for the Industry 4.0 revolution. The SFEED-TEC line not only guarantees incredible machining productivity by attaining quicker speeds and higher #feed rates but also achieves longer #ToolLife and unsurpassed consistency.
Recently, #TaeguTec went further and improved upon the incredible performance of the SFEED-TEC line with its #NextGeneration cutting tools. The #premium WIN-SFEED line is a #HighSpeed and feed machining marvel that gives customers a competitive edge with fast, accurate, productive, and profitable machining.
“These are the kinds of solutions we need because if we cannot deliver safe, quality parts, then we will lose our contracts,” the auto parts head of purchasing said. “I am glad I came to Korea because now I have a lot of decisions and tests to make.”

ENGINEERING JOKE
Too Much of an Engineer for His Own Good
Three men were sentenced to be executed by guillotine; a priest, a Muslim, and an Engineer.
First was the priest and he asked:?"Can I face upwards to see Heaven and my Creator?"
His wish was granted, the blade fell, but stopped 1/2 inch from his neck, sparing his life.
The executioner replied:?"Since the guillotine has spared you, so shall be your life. You are allowed to leave."
Next was the Muslim and he asked: ?"May I also face upwards to look to Allah before my death?"
Again the guillotine stopped just short and his life was spared as well.
The Engineer was last and he too asked to face upwards given what happened with the first two.
As he lay there, he looked up at the mechanism and said:?"Aha, I see the problem!"?See where the rope has jumped out of the pulley groove!"
