Hundreds First-time Parents Received Essential Baby Supplies and Gifts at Community Baby Shower
Bread of Life, Inc. Event Helps Expectant Parents in Need
Bread of Life, Inc. hosted its second annual Community Baby shower today to support and celebrate 100 first-time parents and their guests as they prepare for their precious new family member. The two-hour event included refreshments, games, and entertainment. Parents took home hundreds of dollars in household goods, baby supplies and gifts, including diapers.
The event was organized in partnership with Community Health Choice. Together, with Bread of Life, Inc., they invited soon-to-be parents who might not have the means to put on a traditional baby shower. Many of the parents already receive some level of support either through Bread of Life’s monthly food and supply distributions or through Community Health Choice’s outreach programs. The current cohort of the Bread of Life Academy’s Community Health Worker certification class have been central to making this event a memorable experience for the participants.
Bread of Life, Inc. is dedicated to helping lower income first-time parents and take a hands-on approach to guide members on their path to health and wellness and a better quality of life.
