The appearance of the Indian currency Rupees 100 has been changing since its inception without fading its importance in an Indian man’s life. The very commonly used and circulated denomination throughout the country on a large scale, a hundred rupees note is a valid means of exchange against any purchase or service with persisting our survival for a day. One can never deny any purchase or service against this valid currency note. Being an entrepreneur, this can often make us relate with our products and its demand in the industry. Are the products that we manufacture or deal with, appeal to our target audience as a hundred rupees note does?
In the past, we were facing severe issues with regards to projects deliveries. From correct material not been delivered in a lot and equipment testing to fabrication and design verification prior to its dispatch, there was something or other that triggered delay in the work. So one fine day, I observed a strange disturbance in the factory, everybody was either working on snag list of replacement or re-working on some previous project. I was horrified and broken down with an apathy on my own self and the team. Clueless and agitated, I left the factory and started walking alongside the railway tracks right next to TSA factory and suddenly I bumped into a peanuts selling hawker. I asked him whether he could give me peanuts for Rs.20 but I had no change other than a 100 rupees note. To which he replied vehemently, “Sir, you will get anything for a 100 rupees note including change” and then he started ranting about how could one get a full meal or a place to stay or a train ticket to Mumbai just for Rs.100!
The moment he ceased ranting, I experienced a sudden revelation to a hundred rupees note and how it can be related to my business. Without wasting a fraction of seconds, I got back to my factory and assembled the team on the shop floor- everyone from housekeeping to the factory manager. That was indeed a remarkable day when I announced that we are going to manufacture water treatment plants and sterile vessels with having an equal importance to a 100 rupees note – “never-ending” and “crucial”. I keenly sat down with each department and understood the issues to resolve the same as soon as possible. Within next 6 months, we started rolling out the committed ‘Rs.100 Note’. We believe that if we deliver our clients the services that are only worth and equal to Rs.50 or Rs.80 note, then they might turn off for our company. But if we give a full fledge services with the excellent quality in both pre-installation and post-installation of the equipment that works like a 100 rupees note, then the same clients would seek our assistance for all their industry dilemmas. Thus, we used to remind ourselves about the promises we made to our bellowed clients and worked passionately towards leading a successful business. We took another 18 months to streamline our deliveries and the customers too started vouching for our systems across the industry. Now, we are rolling our High Purity Water Treatment Plants like A HUNDRED RUPEES NOTE with catering to any capacities in 8 weeks.
Though a Hundred Rupees Note Story inspired me and my team to work more efficiently than ever, we also perspired for the desired results. We gave our product the value of a 100 rupees note that successfully helps our business to appeal to our target audience today!
