Humble Yourself As A Child
Greetings in The Mighty Name of Jesus, The Christ!!!
“2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.”
Matthew 18:2-5
Brothers and Sisters many of you say, “I Am A Child Of God…”, but are you? In the Scripture above we do not know the Childs Age, but we can surmise that the Child was old enough to walk and was old enough to understand instructions. Our Lord Jesus took a Child and put them into the front of Himself so that the Child would become the Focal Point of the Conversation, the Lesson. Jesus wanted the people to pay attention to the Child and their mannerisms while He spoke. The Key Words here are Humble Himself As This Little Child.
Many of you Walk Pridefully because of Status. The Status can be as follows, “I belong to …Denomination”; “I do many things…In the church”; “I am a Good Person…Because I Do or Do Not…”; “My Family has always…this way”; “My Family’s Genealogy can be Traced…Blood Line”; “I am a Member Of Societies…leader” and the many other hundred things that make oneself filled with Pride.
This Child that Our Lord Jesus set in the midst was not a Special Child they were just one of them that had come to Jesus when He Called, they were Obedient, they wanted to be Close To Jesus, they were Curious!
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”
1 Peter 5:6
To Be Humble before Jesus, you must Give Up those things that You Thought were right. You must Change from being a Fleshly Person to a Godly Person. We must Call upon Jesus knowing He is Lord Over All Things that pertain to Life as we know it, and even to those things which we know not of. In order for us to have a Relationship with Jesus we must Purge from us those things that Jesus would say are not Acceptable to The Father, or The God Head.
Too many of you want to be Recognized, Exalted in the Works Of The Flesh not allowing Jesus to be The Instructor Of Your Life, that is, The Potter To The Clay which we must all become. As Clay is Molded into whatever the desire of The Potter is, so must we become Obedient In All Things, to Jesus The Potter.
Too many of you buck against the Hand Of The Lord Jesus, speaking what You Will Do or what You Will Not Do as though Jesus obeys you! Most will not accept that Jesus will do whatever is necessary to bring you into a Godly Relationship with Him.
“1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers. 2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, [and] to prove thee, to know what [was] in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. 3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every [word] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. 4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years. 5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, [so] the LORD thy God chasteneth thee.”
Deuteronomy 8:1-5
“1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. 3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. 4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make [it]. 5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay [is] in the potter's hand, so [are] ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.”
Jeremiah 18:1-6
Brothers and Sisters; time is long past that we should be the Children Of Obedience, that we Humble Ourselves before a Holy Just God. Let us not be accounted as Disobedient, doing whatever we desire of our flesh, but being Humble, Submitting to The Will Of Jesus In All Things. Our Thoughts, Our Actions must be in Humility, a Humble State before All of Mankind, knowing whom we serve. The Position that Jesus Called me into, I desired not, nor do I find myself worthy, but because of these things, Jesus has Exalted me, not in the Flesh, as some desire, but in The Spirit, having been given Authority pertaining in Exalting Jesus Above All Things. Even though an Apostle I am, I must face the Same Judgement as everyone else whom Jesus Has Saved, through The Washing Of His Blood. I must bring my Mind, my Body into Subjection of Him who sits upon The Throne, Humbling myself before Him at All Times.
“1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons. 2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; 3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: 4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?”
James 2:1-4
One attribute of being Humble before Jesus is not having a Respect of Persons, that means, that because I Walk In Humility In Jesus, I must also Walk in His Anointed Desire for My Life in dealing with others, when I Speak, I do not only Speak to those whom hear, but to myself, first I must obey. I do not Respect any person, that means, that I will not Exalt anyone above My Lord Jesus. This means My Wife, My Children, My Family, My Friends, My Co-Workers, My Boss, Any Member Of The Government, Jesus Is Lord Above All!!!
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
So many of you, at the time of this message, have Humbled yourselves, making promises, saying you will do anything, IF only this Virus that has plagued us will be gone from among us. But, these are Empty Words, for The Lord Jesus knows your heart!
To be truly Humble before Jesus, you Must Be Obedient in all that Jesus says to do, you cannot pick and choose. When one is Humble Before Jesus, all that Jesus has to do is Speak and it is Done Without Reservation. If Jesus says to turn Right and I Decide to turn Left, have I not been Disobedient? Then when calamity has happened, do I then run to Jesus asking Why? But, because I did not Walk Humbly Before Jesus, have I become God, thinking that I Know Better Than He Does!
Brothers and Sisters we have a Promise that has rang throughout the ages, that is, God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit have said in agreement, 2 Chronicles 7:14, it has not changed nor will it!!! We are Called By God, The Children Of God and Must Humble ourselves before Him in order to Please Him. We have a Promise that if We Will Seek Jesus, which means I Must Stop Sinning, I Must Turn Away From Sin, THEN and ONLY THEN will Jesus hear us from Heaven and Heal Us!!! There is a But in this, that is, there are things that must happen in the Last Days that The Godhead will not turn from, will not stop from happening.
“6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:6-8
Walk Humbly before Jesus while you can, while it is Your Freedom to do so. There is a time, even now, when Sound Doctrine will not be adhered to, it will be cast away and forgotten all because of a lack of Humility. Jesus Owes Us NOTHING, He has already paid the price, that We of Our Free Will Have Accepted.
