Humble leaders. Happy people.

Humble leaders. Happy people.

Last week I saw the famous Ted Talk speech from Simon Sinek on YouTube. Again. 'Start with Why' shows why people won't buy what you make but buy why you make it. About believing in sincere people and about trust that goes without words. It was great watching and I strongly believe in the message.

Companies and managers in need picked up the Simon Sinek video too. They organized big events and training sessions for their employees telling them what to do, how to do it and why they thought this was best for their employees. Excacly the opposite from what Simon Sinek stated. Making a lot of people very unhappy.

'I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.'

A good message in the wrong hands is lethal. In my humble opinion keeping things close and small makes you happy. Do what you feel and do it without words and without thinking. From the heart.

Stay humble

Work hard

Be kind

You find you will feel more happy. Happy people are good for business. Happy people are good for the world we live in. Leaders and managers should be humbly promoting this instead of mis using Simon Sineks message.

Or to quote Johann Wolfgang von Goethe:

'As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live'

Do you agree?

I truly don't. I see the need and my compassion moves me to action. Serving expecting nothing in return. Is the best way to live.
