Humans are not systems of equations

The belief that human intelligence, nature and many other forms of complexity (e.g. global climate) are some statistical trick of variables and parameters is one of the many lies spread by the media and some “experts”.

None of these people are aware that the dicotomy ‘hardware (body) vs software (mind)’ is rooted in the ‘body vs soul’ paradigm of the old times. It is a binary way of thinking, a superstition that obfuscates many things.

A computational process, in the intended sense, transforms a stream of input information through a sequence of causally linked physical states to produce a stream of output information. First formulated by von Neumann in 1945, it is the basis of all modern computing.

But a complex system is more than the sum of its parts. Its overall behaviour results from the interactions between its parts. And in most cases, the parts cannot be isolated from the rest of the universe (as is the case with all living things).

People who think that consciousness and the human mind can be imitated and surpassed by a computer speak volumes about their real knowledge in many fields of science, or simply have a dark agenda of eugenics.

You are not computable, you are an irreplaceable being through which the universe becomes conscious in a unique way.
