Let's start by getting acquainted with Nick Reed. With a strong academic background in psychology, including a PhD and post-doctoral research at the 英国牛津大学 , his journey into road safety began at TRL (Transport Research Laboratory, UK). Over thirteen years, he led pioneering research into driving behavior and road safety, delving into the world of automated vehicles. His innovative work not only contributed to safety but also generated substantial revenue for the organization.
Nick’s dedication and expertise led to a remarkable career at Bosch , the world's largest automotive supplier, where they spearheaded initiatives to shape the future of transportation. In 2019, Nick embarked on a new venture, founding Reed Mobility , an independent transport research consultancy. His client list includes prestigious entities like the European Commission , the UK Department for Transport, Transport for London , PA Consulting , Mott MacDonald , and 英国标准协会 .
In 2021, Nick took on the role of Chief Road Safety Adviser to National Highways , with a mission to work towards achieving Vision Zero, an aspiration to eliminate road fatalities.
