Meet Polly Haiar
Sr. Director, Customer Success
Helix Director of Customer Success Polly Haiar, who grew up in a small, close-knit community in northeast South Dakota, values the power of building strong relationships across family, clients and community. The youngest of three, Polly moved to Omaha, Nebraska, after attending South Dakota State University to live closer to her brother and sister. While in Omaha, Polly met her husband, Scott, who works in the financial services industry. They have two children and enjoy an overflowing schedule of sports practices, games and other kid-related activities.??

After graduating from college, she found herself at a crossroads. She didn’t know where she wanted to take her professional life. Her banker brother-in-law recognized Polly’s aptitude for relationship building and encouraged her to pursue a career in working with clients in the banking industry. She hesitated at first because she was adamant about not working a “boring desk job.” Eventually, she decided to give the financial services industry a try and began working with consumer and business clients at a mid-sized community bank. Dedicated to building and deepening relationships with account holders, she quickly learned how wrong she had been to think that banking would be boring. “I’ve worked in financial services ever since and truly hope I can help spread the word that banking and payments are anything but dull!”?
In her role as Director of Customer Success for Helix, Polly translates her relationship-building skills by collaborating with clients to understand their goals and objectives and help them progress toward those milestones. She treats clients with dedication and care and hopes that her Customer Success team is viewed as an extension of the client’s team. Two of the things Polly loves most about working at Helix are the people and the culture. “It is an engaging and rewarding workplace,” she said. “Relationships matter in our company and there is a feeling of authenticity and camaraderie that I really enjoy,” Polly explained.??
Polly also emphasizes the importance of relationships with her teammates. For new hires joining the Helix team, Polly advises them to “proactively schedule time with colleagues in various roles across the organization. It’s a great way to get to know new people while also collaborating and learning from teams across Helix.”??
