Meet Caleb Etzler

Project Manager, Helix Deposit Operations

Caleb Etzler discovered early on that he was happiest when he made others happy. This people-focused mentality began early in Caleb’s life, creating a personal drive to always be better.?As a teenager, Caleb finetuned his passion for people, while working at Blockbuster–helping customers find great movies and McDonald’s— cooking food and keeping up with the demand during busy lunch hours. This outlook and personal drive to exceed customer expectations and always be better, is what positioned Caleb for success throughout his career.?

Caleb harnesses his personal competitive nature in learning and developing new talents – both professionally and personally. He recently embraced a new challenge – golf. His first experience on the course was indeed a challenge. Caleb decided to improve his game so he would be better the next time out and the next time after that. He dedicated time after work to practice at the driving range and improved so much that he developed a passion for the game. Now he plays as often as he can with friends and a common interest group he joined at his local church.??

At Helix by Q2, Caleb is a Project Manager and a subject matter expert in money movement within Helix’s embedded finance framework. His proactive and receptive approach to helping customers enables him to deliver top-notch customer service.?“I love helping customers solve problems,” Caleb said while reflecting on what he most enjoys about his role at Helix. Caleb takes his 15 years of industry experience and uses it to inform the Product Development team and helps to find solutions that will address customer needs.

Early on in his career, he discovered that his personal drive and dedication to customer service were adversely affecting his ability to have a healthy work-life balance. “I had a hard time leaving work at work but over the years I’ve realized that my job is important, but I am important too,” Caleb reflected. “You need to take time to yourself.” Caleb did that over the summer when he and a group of his friends escaped for a week to an Airbnb lake house for a change of scenery and to spend some quality time together. “We all brought our laptops and worked during the day, but in the evening we did tourist stuff, like visiting local breweries and exploring the area,” Caleb explained.

Even though Caleb is highly driven and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service he also has an easygoing attitude. He’s known for making people laugh and bringing levity to tense moments. He jokingly explained that his life philosophy is “don’t be that guy.” Having a passion for customers has always been a priority to Caleb, but over the years he’s learned the importance of balancing his work and personal life. He appreciates that at Helix, you can have the best of both worlds – living a fulfilled and balanced life.?
