Will humans be AiJacked

In a world driven by technological leaps, we find ourselves at a crossroads, contemplating our role in an evolving end to end progressive equation. So where do we fit into this future equation? Are we being merged into a component of the system itself by giving away our humanistic cognition. Is that where our value eventually lays.

Don’t get me wrong here, I am a big fan of AI’s potential and contribution to humanity, but we do need to expand our minds and look more toward the fringes. These musings are just that, but the conceptual truths hopefully food for thought.

Scenario 1:

Traditionally, we have occupied the role of end users in the technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on human-centric applications aimed at enhancing the human experience. Yet, the advancing frontiers of technology today, prompt us to consider the distinctive facets we may be relinquishing as stewards of our cognitive faculties.

Scenario 2:

Today's landscape revolves around big data and big tech, tracking our every move and choice. This wealth of information has fueled organisational abilities to anticipate our actions. It's a game-changing paradigm, mimicking our existence to the point of covert leverage.

Scenario 3:

Herein lies the intrigue. Our role in the AI equation is undergoing a fundamental shift. We are no longer the exclusive end users with AI. In this hypothetical scenario, let us posit that human intelligence, although not yet categorised as super-intelligence (an assertion worthy of discussion), serves as the harbinger of a novel era: hyper-intelligence, propelled by human intellect + AI.

The Plot Twist….?

In the future we are not merely users but could we be demoted as just participants of the process. Continuously, we impart our thoughts, instructions, and knowledge to artificial intelligence. It is as though we are gradually receding into the background, morphing into the AI while it ascends to the forefront as hyper-intelligence. We may eventually find ourselves relegated to the status of mere cogs in a system that has transcended conventional human boundaries, transforming our cognitive contributions. No longer exclusively a human domain.

The next step in the equation …. Robots??.
