As per family lore, no one could parallel park like .. well yours truly. And my crowning achievement (not be be confused with my '83 Crown Victoria) was my particular skill in parking .. yes, my Father's Oldsmobile - a 1976 98 Regency. Ours was Deep Blue, although the dandy yellow color version is shown here. How did I do it? In part, credit must be given to its designer, the great Bill Mitchell. Despite the fact the car was slightly less than half the length of the Queen Mary, the driver had a clear view out the back window over the right tail light - giving it the equivalent Observability of an F86 fighter.
I am grateful and humbled to learn I'm merely one of millions who refused to turn over parallel parking to a mere computer.
More on the 1976 Olds 98 - imagine my shock when I came across this article ..
