The Humanity Map

The Humanity Map

I have one more blog in me before I head into my first of two surgeries in August, and me thinks it is one of my most meaningful to date.

Quite recently, I dove into merging a number of my bodies of work into what I now affectionately call The Matriarchy of Virtues Character Map... and it is something that is deeply resonating with me for my own work and Service forward. I invite you to consider...

This Map blends my longstanding study and work around the considered initiatives and ideas of The Virtues Project and The Science of Character and Temperament and Stoicism and more. It draws upon and helps drive my very own work in Teaching, and my Epic Engage and TUGtv Thing. And, all of that is to say, "Let me introduce you to the Mother Virtues..."

The Virtues and Humanity

There are indeed hundreds of Virtues and this is but a discerned and considered model driven by my own observation, experience and study. But, it is a framework that is content rich and organizes thought around advancing the notions of Character, Purpose and Unity. Indeed, the Virtues are what truly unite us as a species, in practice. We may be diverse in age, gender, height, size, color, ethnicity, sexuality, nationality and more. We may have different stories and blood types. If there are 8 billion people on the planet, we are all different in combination. That said, access to the practice of Virtue, we all have. It is our Humanity.

And, our Humanity is our highest standard. Inhumanity is our lowest.

When I think about it, I could have equally called it The Humanity Map... and I think it applies to how we all can practice leadership in our roles at home, school, work, business and community; locally, globally and glocally.

THREE THINGS

ALL of this is to say that (a) I will be digging ever deeper into this body of work forward and how it plays a role at home, school, work, business and community to build a better world and future... and (b) the focus will be to Aim High... and (c) I invite you to walk this deeper study with me.

Bottom line, Humans, Together, Strong... that is my Just Cause.

How about you? May we each find our Words... and actions to coolly serve.

The world needs us.

More to come.

Humans. Together. Strong.

Justice, Peace and Unity...
