World's leading magazine for CEOs, CFOs, investors, senior executives, business leaders, and high net-worth individuals.
The new device called the Ai Pin, made by a secretive startup called Humane, might be quite expensive, possibly costing up to $1,000. Additionally, it might require a monthly payment for data usage, as reported by The Information.
Introducing the Mysterious Ai Pin
This mysterious device has been in development for many years, and we recently got a good look at it when one of the co-founders, Imran Chaudhri, presented it at TED this year. During the presentation, he used the device, which was not named at the time, to do several things.
For example, he answered a phone call, found information on where to buy a gift, translated a sentence into French, and had the translated sentence spoken in a computer-generated version of his voice. He also asked the device if he could eat a chocolate bar and got its opinion. The demonstration was quite impressive, but it left us with many questions about how it all works.
As we approach the November 9th launch date of the Ai Pin device, we are getting a clearer picture of what it looks like. The Information’s report provides some new details.
