The bottom line is evolving, and so is our approach to it.
Areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) needs to be combined to reach the level of intelligence initially envisioned in the 1950s. Yes most of what we are `creating` now, was once imaged. Why did it take us so long to reach these points? What caused the long pause in 60`s before the uptake towards , was it societal, ethical or political issues or merely human ones?
We stand on a precipice of being the change for humanity with the power and backing of technology. Driving a more impactful outcome underpinning it with true inclusiveness, fair and ethically transparent principles is a basic need now.
This pandemic has taught us that we can’t think discretely about individual risks ever again. This health crisis has clearly led to an economic crisis and has certainly exacerbated what many would argue is the growing social crisis.
We don’t know where the next human impact is coming from. Create an environment where employees can have the freedom to co-create and co-innovate. Create a space for technology to spawn new talents across the globe. I ask are you ready to shift the pillars of cultural emulation, diversity or policies to promote humanity? Some daily questions to ponder
- The profitable solution verses the right solution
- How can I allow for consumers to optimise their experiences?
- How can I ensure consumers understand their digital rights? How can I hold our organisation accountable for unethical practices no matter the consequences?
Due to rise of digital rights, innovation has placed an example of the three predictions for digital identity or IDV (Identity verification). Published in The Wall Street Journal (paywall) found that the average amount of time an American adult spends with digital media per day has increased from 12:24 hours pre-pandemic to 16:06 hours daily. (The figure includes overlapping activity.)
With Blockchain moving from a promise to a reality, Blockchain's ecosystem, like its technology, is rapidly evolving, with the development of new platforms, applications, consortia, and partnerships. Many organizations are exploring the potential value of blockchain and some of the large players are even developing their own solutions.
Added to the technological advances we see a decline in ‘HUMAN - people skills’; arguably this is all the more challenging at a time where we’ve been forced to be apart from others and societies are on tenterhooks because of the dual ravages on health and economies by the pandemic. This has lead to us being more digitally engaged and less HUMAN engaged. Over the past year, at almost everyone has been talking about individual or employees’ well-being and mental health, their resilience, and their ability to keep going.
The wave of even more, comes rushing towards us, now is the time to greatly focus on improving these skills unless of course they ever do crack artificial intelligence as a better person than either you or I. Many paths, many question. what's yours?
